Texoma Homeless Coalition: Home

Texoma Homeless Coalition meets monthly, the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm at the Salvation Army in Sherman, TX.

We are part of the Texas Balance of State Continuum of Care, coordinated by the Texas Homeless Network.

The purpose of the Texoma Homeless Coalition is to advocate, educate and promote awareness of issues and obstacles facing homeless individuals in Texoma through community collaboration and planning.

HUD’s definition of a Continuum of Care is a community plan to organize and deliver housing and services to meet the specific needs of people who are homeless as they move to stable housing and maximum self-sufficiency.  It includes action steps to end homelessness and prevent a return to homelessness.  A continuum of care is a coordinated system of housing and services to help homeless families and individuals work toward self-sufficiency.
